5 Star Self-Catering Accommodation for Belfast, Newtownabbey and the Antrim Coast
Abbey Self-Catering offers three superior self-catering properties located by the shore in the grounds of a historic Grade II listed Georgian residence which has gardens overlooking Belfast Lough. In times gone by every ship that sailed past Woodbank had to pay 1p toll - including the Titanic. The gardens make a wonderful viewpoint to watch the Tall Ships when they visit Belfast or, indeed, to view where the Titanic sailed past on her maiden voyage.
All three properties offer luxury accommodation with every convenience provided to make sure your stay will be comfortable and enjoyable. Each of the three properties has its own private patio/garden area suitable for picnics or barbecues and also have use of a general garden area where children can play (supervised) and which has direct access to the lough shore and shoreline walks.
The properties are conveniently located to the main motorway network and are an ideal base for exploring the Antrim coast, whilst being only 8 miles from County Down and less than 10 minutes from Belfast city centre via the M5. Bus and train services pass close by, and guests also enjoy the convenience of a 24 hour shop within 2 minutes walk.
All the accommodation is furnished to a very luxurious standard and has been fully equipped with every convenience:
- Hypnos beds (for a very comfortable sleep)
